ResponderExcluira) Read the following sentences and decide if they are TRUE or FALSE.

Present Perfect: That’s an action that have happened in an indeterminate past.
6- By this time next year, I will have gone back to Brazil
Future Perfect: That’s an action that will happen in the future, before this time next year.
ACTIVITY 2
I think there have been no expressive changes since I started my course at USP. That’s because I’d already lived out of my parents’ house since one year before, when I’d left them to study in a better school. Moreover, there I’d had excellent classes, very much more difficult than the classes I was taking at USP in the first year. So, the beginning of the course has being only a continuation of my studies.
Activity 1-
ResponderExcluir(a) 1-)FALSE 4-)TRUE
2-)TRUE 5-)TRUE
3-)FALSE 6-)TRUE
(b)In the sentence (2) appears the Present Perfect Continuous tense, which is characterized by the structure:
Have/ has been -ing
This tense indicates that the activity is still happening or has just stopped.
In this case, the tense is identified by the passage “ have been working” and we can conclude that Claudia is working as an English teacher now, she started teaching 10 years ago and she is still teaching English.
In the sentence (6) appears the Future Perfect tense, which obey the following structure:
will + have + participle
We use Future Perfect to indicates that an action will be concluded before a certain period of time or before another action in the future. In the sentence (6), the preposition “by” indicates when the action ( come back to Brazil) will be concluded.
Activity 2-
Since I started my graduation course, a lots of things changed in my life. For example, I've never lived far from my parents, and now I live in São Carlos and I hardly ever talk to my parents.
I also have been studying much more than before. Before, I think I didn't know nothing about Physics , and know I am learning a lot.
I used to sleep many hours a day, but now it's the opposite, which means ,now I drink a lot of coffe (!). However, now I am much more happier than before!
1.a) 1F 2F 3F 4T 5T 6T
ResponderExcluir1.b) 2 This sentence is in future perfect and is used to put importance to the time (more than 10 years)
5 Simple present to explain something in the past without mentioning the time.
2) When I started my course at USP the first change was move to another city, I have lived in another city different from my family before so I felt normal to that changes. I have been lived these last 6 years in many different ways. The greatest difference is the time that you have to spend studding and the fact that you have to struggle to have a better future.
Teacher, sorry be so late but I need answer the last week activity that you asked me to rewrite. About the bio in the third person.
Marcos has completed high with technician specialization in electronics at ETE Getulio Vargas. He is a undergraduate student at USP since 2007 at the course of Computational Physics, there has only a one more class on that course. He worked with Prof. Luiz Vitor on a computer cluster that's now is working on a analysis of a shower phenomenon on cosmic rays.

4. Simple past and past perfect: both happened in the past, but the second action (do part of her research in Brazil) happened before than the first one (arrive in the US).
Activity 2.
Since I started my course at USP, my routine changed in many aspects. First because I started living alone, far away from my parents. Moreover, because the rhythm of classes and tests is completely different from high school. I started a serious relationship in the first year, which was also a great change in my life. Now I can stand on my own two feet much better than before, because the freedom comes with a greater responsibility as well.

3. Since I started studying at USP many things have changed in my life. Mainly, because I am from Brasília and I had to move to start studying at this University. The biggest change has been living alone. Taking care of a house isn’t an easy task and I had to get used to do all the house chores and also to pay the bills. In the University itself I have been learning how to get by and make contact with very different people. As a student of Physics and Biomolecular Sciences, I have developed my intellectual skills by reading many science books and studying hard.

ACTIVITY 2:
Since I started studying at IFSC, many things changed in my life. I had to learn how to live by myself here in San Carlos, organizing my money, paying bills, studying very hard, buying home supplies and working things out without my parents help.
Although a hard start, It was an wounderful experience because I actually learned how to overcome the difficults and found good things here like my new friends, my passion for the physic studies and my liberty and autonomy.
ACTIVITY 1
ResponderExcluirb) 2. present perfect continuous - used to indicate that the action started somewhere in the past (not defined) but it´s not over yet, it´s still happening.
4. simple past and past perfect - both actions are started in the past and are done. The past perfect is used to indicate wich one happened first.
ACTIVITY 2
Since I began at USP, in 2010, a lot of things changed in my life. It was not the first time I left my parents house, but it was the one that I came to live on my own, without any "responsible adults" around.
That meant that I had to start taking care of my own daily tasks such as cooking, cleaning, doing groceries, washing my clothes, paying my bills and so on.
I rented a two bedroom apartment and found a roomie. We got along pretty well from the very begining and now we live in a big two floor house with other 4 girls. It may sound crazy but we love it and now we´re like sisters.
I learned a lot in college and the subjects are, most of the times, harder than I´d think. Now I´ve decided to skift my course to Engeneering because I think it fits more my profile.
